Jan Jorgensen writes poetry and homilies. Originally from the United States, she has lived on the unceded territory of Tiohtià:ke (Montreal, Quebec) for thirty years. The Reverend Jan Jorgensen was ordained at the United Church of Christ in Yale University in 1994 to minister at Westmount Park Church in Westmount, Quebec. Since leaving the Westmount church she has served as chaplain in two senior residences as well as pastor Willsboro Congregational United Church in Willsboro, NY. Semi-retired, Pastor Jan has served as pulpit supply (a substitute preacher) for several United Church of Canada congregations in the Montreal area. Jan trained at the Ignatian Spirituality Centre of Montreal (2010 – 2016) and at Silver Dove Institute, Burlington, Vermont (2010-2011) and is a practicing spiritual director.

Daughter, sister, niece, cousin, student, spouse, mother, auntie, grandmother, friend, and colleague, Jan is grateful for the blessings and teachings of these relationships; is sustained by the kindnesses offered by loved ones, peers, and strangers, alike.
